Roebling Labs is supporting Johns Hopkins University and UMass on FHWA-funded research in response to NTSB Safety Recommendation H-25-028 from the Francis Scott Key Bridge collapse investigation.
The project title is: “Surveying aberrant vessel warning systems and their application to inform bridge closure policies and practices”
Dr. Shields, the Principal Investigator, says:
“the project builds on work already underway at Roebling Labs, a company with early-warning systems in use on five bridges in the U.S. As a collaborator working with [us], Roebling Labs’ experience gives the team a firsthand view of how these technologies function in the real world.”
